As of the 1 April 2008 tenants can be held accountable for their usage of water, upon the signing of a new tenancy or lease agreement.Wagner Plumbing can conduct a water audit to the premises to comply with Queensland Water Commission’s requirements of water flow and usage.
The water audit includes:
- Inspection and testing the operation of all water outlets throughout the premises
- Inspection and testing the operation of all toilets throughout the premises
- Inspection and testing the operation of the hot water system
- Pressure testing the water supply system to check for hidden leaks
- Provide a printed Audit Report
A Compliance Certificate will be issued with the audit report if the property meets all of the requirements. If the premises do not meet the Queensland Water Commissions requirements a detailed quotation will be provided with recommendations. Upon the acceptance and completion of the quotation a Compliance Certificate will be issued.
Suggested list of rectification service that can be carried out if required
- Replacement of the toilet cistern
- Replacement of the toilet cistern and pan
- Installation of inline flow restrictors to basins, kitchen sink and laundry tub, replacement of shower roses and service all taps
- Alternatively to the inline flow restrictors, Aqualoc tap washers can be installed to the tap ware, where possible, and inline restrictors installed elsewhere. The Aqualoc tap washers carry a five-year manufactures warranty.
- Replacement of valves at the hot water system if found to be leaking at the time of the Water Audit
- Replacement of a chrome plated kitchen sink mixer
- Installation of a pressure limiting valve to reduce pressure to 500KPA
